Basically, I started running on a treadmill when no one else was around. For me, I had to do a warm up which involved walking for 4 or 5 minutes and then I ran. Every week or so,I would increase my running time by a few minutes. As I became more comfortable, I began to run outside which is more intensive than running on a treadmill. The more I ran, the more I would naturally improve when it comes to stamina. I trained for about four months befoer I ran my first 5k. I'm still improving today. When I ran my 5k, there were people of all fitness levels out there. You could probably do one now even if you just wanted to walk instead of run and it's a really encouraging atmosphere. You don't have to worry about being judged. Hope I helped! If you have any more questions, then let me know! I am trying to get into a good running habit now but I get worried about being out of my comfort zone (I grew up being an asthmatic kid).

What was your regimen, if you had one, to building up your stamina and getting out of your comfort zone?
Congrats on your 5K. I hope to be able to run one within the next year!PhenomenallyMehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02189971928022944733noreply@blogger.com
